Looking for thru hole CMOS schmitt trigger

acidblue

Are the any thru hole cmos in circuit studio?

So far I haven't been able to find any, specifically a CD40106.

I've searched the vault and libraries and found all soic, no thru hole.

Also after I add a part from the Vault to a schem how do I save it to my

local library?

Really!? After 3 months no one has an answer?

Are there any thru hole components in Altium?

Cause if there are I cant find them, not dip sockets or axial resistors not to mention capacitors.

All I can find is SMD. is this how Altium does things , all surface mount no in line or axial components?

Not trying to be snarky but why is it so hard to find such basic parts?

Why doesn't Altium come with the basic components already included in the local library, why am I being forced

to do a search in a vault?

I've search the vaults for Dip packages and axial resistors and caps and Every time I get "No results".

Is it me? Am I using the wrong search string?

    Hi Ray,

Sorry for the delay.  I am trying to catch up on some of the older posts to see if I can help.

For axial leaded products like resistors- In the vault you can type in the search box “axial resistor” . You will get some choices- you can choose any one and update the value once the component is on your schematic.

I have provided some screenshots below.   Let us know if you have any additional questions.  --Tony
