Common Altium schortcuts are not working in the CircuitStudio trial version

Hi,

I recently downloaded the CircuitStudio and installed the trial license. After I had created the electrical diagram, I started to design the PCB, then I discovered that common Altium schortcuts are not working in my trial version.

In the CircuitStudio documentation ( Grids and Units | Online Documentation for Altium Products ) shift+q keys are used to toggle units, but in the CicruitStudio schortcuts window this keys combination is not given.

Is this just the trial license limitation?

Thanks

Jack

    Hi Jacek,

It's Ctrl + q in the object edit dialog.

To toggle the current workspace units between imperial and metric:

    • Click the Home | Grids and Units | Imperial or Metric button on the ribbon.
    • Press the Q shortcut, this can be done at any time (while executing a command, or not).
    • While editing in an object dialog, press Ctrl+Q to toggle the units in that dialog - note that this does not change the workspace units, it only applies to the current use of the dialog.

    Hello Ashok,

I read the CircuitStudio documentation, but in current version of the CircuitStudio, the Q shortcut is disabled. The snapshot below is taken from the PCB editor shortcuts help.  As you can see the Q shortcut is not listed in the build-in documentation, thus you cannot toggle between imerial and metric units in the PCB editor using keyboard.

CTRL + q works well in the edit dialog.

Did developers remove this shortcut from the CircuitStudio?

    Hi Jacek,

Thanks for the screenshot. I'll have to check with Altium if they disabled Q or if the documentation needs an update. Thanks for bringing this up.
