Missing place 3D body button in PCB editor

Hi guys

It seems that in Circuit Studio 1.2 It's not possible to add a 3D body directly to the PCB - the 3D body button is available only in PCB component editor. There's a walk around - you have to create the PCB component with 3D body but it isn't easy to use.

That works for me, extrusion and step.

Double click on the placed 3D object, place cursor over it and right click to choose properties from the context menu. Run command Edit->change. Finally click on existing object.

Still no place 3d body button in version 1.3. The method that tomaszciesla has been described works, but it's paintful.

The ability to create board shapes from a solid model should be a 10 second process. Please add the "Place >> 3D Body" functionality to Circuitstudio.

The add 3D Body function is available (for me) in the PCB editor 2D view. Once there go to the search window in the upper right and type ' 3D body ' without quotes. Click on the Place > 3D Body and the dialog should open. Absolutely this could be inconsistent. Let me know. Check out the online Docs 3D Body | Online Documentation for Altium Products I tested it in extrusion mode. Next will be adding a STEP file. Fingers crossed. Let me know how it works.

Edit: I checked and it works, but it sure would be easier to manipulate the positioning without having to switch back and forth between 2D and 3D.
Note: Typing ' 3D ' by itself gives you at least one other related option to explore.
