PCB layout "groups" aka "Union"

Does the functionality exist in CS to group layed out components and tracks to assist in moving and placing?

I believe this was referred to as creating a Union is AD.

If not, how is it intended for designers to work around this?

Thanks for your response.

Moving components once selected works fine (which is what you linked about). However the union facility in AD allows you to always come back to a group of parts, select the group and move it. Without it you have to individually select each component and track which is often in the middle of a bunch of other components making the drag selection ineffective.
