CS doesn't start anymore

medvedev

Hello,

since yesterday CircuitStudio doesn't start anymore.

The day before yesterday everything was fine. I didn't change anything in the settings of CS nor in the settings of my Win10 x64.

Now I have updated it to the current version 1.4 (was 1.3 before) and it didn't change anything.

When I start CS nothing happen; the Task Manager shows that the dxp.exe is running with 15% of CPU usage and constant 100MB RAM usage.

What else  can I do?

Thanks!

Hi Sergej, I'm not clear if you are saying when you updated to 1.4 it suddenly stopped working or it stopped working with 1.3 and updating to 1.4 still didn't work?

Windows 10 has a habit of applying software updated whenever it feels like so that may be cause of the issue. Can you roll back the last updates the Win 10 installed to see if that helps.

The problem existed before and after update. I have now uninstalled CS and installed it again. Now it works but my last Project is corrupted! Completly gone! I have 10y of EDA experience and have never seen that before!

Thanks for the update and sorry to hear your project was corrupted, it may be possible to recover. Is the folder that contained your project still present? If so then you may be able to run CS and use the local history to recover a prior version of you design. To manually get at the previous versions open the folder in file explorer and look for the History sub-folder. This should contain many *.Zip files that represent older versions of design documents which you should be able to use to recover your design from.
