'Standard' through-hole footprints in CS?

Hi All!

Considering buying CS and while I've used AD in a past life, I can't for the life of me find PCB footprints, particularly for PLCC ones. I can create them, of course, but wondered if there's a standard footprint library (you'd think, no?)

Also, I downloaded the older AD libraries but they seem incomplete compared to DXP and what not? Vault is somewhat anemic (for older stuff anyway, or even for locating a through-hole LM7805)

Cheers,

Yvo

Hi. If you have downloaded the library packages from designcontent.live.altium.com then you should be able to easily re-use the footprints contained in these libraries, maybe extract to create your own footprint library if that's how you like to work.

    Hi!

    Thanks for the link!

I've used Altium Designer / DXP a long time back and I vaguely remember it having a much larger standard lib. It feels a little backwards to me that I have to scrounge around websites to find something as simple as a LED for a package that would set you back about a grand (before discounts and what not)

Also, the 'Vault' has been crashing left and right on me with CircuitMaker actually having more components available than studio, which seems backwards.

Either way, I'll poke around and see what I can dig up. Thanks again for the reply! Much appreciated!!!

    Yvo
