Hi. I've just tested this and it seems to work correctly. Loaded an existing PCB, changed the colour using View > Switch to 3D > View Configurations > Altium 3D Blue and then exported to a STEP file. Loaded this into the free Autodesk viewer and the board substrate was blue.
Hi,
I tried the same. Changed the color View > Switch to 3D > View Configurations > Altium 3D Blue ......But when i tried to open the step file in Fusion 360 and tried to place the step file for another component it goes back to green.
Just tested and the PCB came in blue as expected. Does your board come in the correct colour to start with and only change when you try importing additional step files?
In my cs it can only be changed to black.
View > Switch to 3D > View Configurations > Altium 3D Black
this is the option I have. But i need the boards in blue and red.
Is there any way ?
I understand better now, you are not changing the colour in CircuitStudio because you do not have the choices. There is a forum post that adds in the extra colours, see the last answer on this thread.
now i understand.Let me try the same. Thanks for your info.
