Part Search In Schematics

Hi,

Having problem with the part search in CS, sometimes the part search for components works when searching in the shematics documnets but usually defaults to the PCBDoc. Sometimes rebooting the programme works but usually not. Got round it by using text search, but this seems to work only if the components that are being searched for are the on schdoc that is currently being used. Can this be sorted as it is a pain using text search to find components on a large shematic. I am using the most up to date version.

Cheers.

Hi peter, compiling seems to have sorted the issue. Cheers, T.

That's great news. One thing to remember is that you will probably need to compile each time you start CircuitStudio, the compile is not run automatically when CS starts or opens the project.

Hi Tony, assuming you are using the search box at the top right of the main window. From the schematic editor Home > Project > Compile and then the search should find components in your schematic sheets as well as your PCB.
