Hole in PCB?

Hi,

  I want to create a library part that includes a (routed) hole in the PCB.  I've tried doing this by drawing the hole on the 'outline' layer but when I define the board outline the hole doesn't appear, and doesn't show up in 3D view.  This may or may not be a problem, since I'll send the outline Gerber to the PC manufacturer and they will know what to do.  But is there a way to make a hole that does appear in 3D view?  Doing this in a library part rather than directly in the PCB is another step, but hopefully a small one.

    It is possible to have a 'hole' or other shape that appears in the 3D view as a cutout in the board. Edit the footprint in the PCB library editor and place a polygon pour cutout.

    Once placed bring up the properties dialog for the polygon and change to be a board cutout.

    Finally update the footprint on the PCB and view in 3D to see your cutout.
