Is there a way to edit supplier links or other parameters for multiple components without having to individually click on each component?

For example, if I want to go through every component and assign unique part numbers for supplier X to each component, I have to manually click on each one.

Is there a way to edit the parameters of the components in a table-like fashion?  Something basically the same as the BOM configuration dialogue box except editable and syncable back to the schematic:

    Hi Tom,

Not directly answering your question, but if you update components in the schematic and later go and change the library part (like with a new supplier) and then update the schematic from the component library your change is lost ( unless you lock and/or 'unsync with library' the parameter - I'm still not sure I understand that totally).  So I always edit the library component to avoid unintended effects from me updating a library. In my worldview 'my' component is my unique part number with my own fields for manufacturer and manufacturer part number. I use CS Supplier fields only for the supplier's part number and pricing.

(I do not use Vault for anything library related - besides being impossible to use it really screws up your schematics with all sorts of auto-updating)

There is a huge downside in that when you update the library components there's no way to know if the schematic(s) need to be updated, as well as you have to go through the library one by one for each changed component and click "update schematic" while the schematic is open.

    YMMV

    Hi TM,

There is sort of what you want in the higher priced Altium Designer software.  They have a Parameter Manager that functions and looks something like a spreadsheet that makes it very convenient to see the parameters and their values and make changes.  Alas, it is one of the productivity features not in the lower priced CircuitStudio.
