1.5.2 (Win 7) slow to open supplier links and BOM fail

Starting some new board revisions with 1.5.2 and I have hit what seems to be intermittent problem in that some projects seem OK and others fail and I can't figure out the pattern yet so throwing this out there for ideas.  I suspect I have some setting for the suppliers wrong, though if I did why don't all projects fail like this;

symptom 1)

Right click on part and select supplier links. Takes about 30 seconds for dialog window to open, and CS is hung until it opens.

symptom 2)

Open BOM configuration window for a project with 25 parts takes 10+ minutes to open in the Generate output files->Bill of Materials -> Configure... selection. Windows says it's hung during that time.

I suspect it's related to symptom 1 where it's going out to fetch info and getting lost, RMON shows it's up to something:

symptom 3)

Selecting Bill of Materials and hitting generate also locks up like #2.  Maybe it's lost on the 'net again as RMON shows activity.:

At the moment I'm trying to refresh several projects with the supplier data now that the DigiKey thing is fixed, so I guess one obvious experiment would be to shut that off. OTOH if wherever CS is fetching from is down CS should say something/not hang?

It has worked with 1.5.2 and prior versions where the #1 take a second or so, and #2 or #3 take maybe 10 or 15 seconds (typical) and around 60 seconds worst case for boards with a few to maybe 50 parts types and dozens to 200 parts on them.  Which also seemed slow to me for what I guessed it was doing but it was livable.  Hanging for 10+ minutes isn't useable, particularly when doing parts cleanups,

Thanks,

Brewster

    After poking around some more I think I see where I goofed.  I use a desktop and laptop and move between them (such a sane feature for CS to support, other SW companies could learn from them...).

    I got the desktop setup correctly with clearing out the old parts extensions but on the laptop i only deleted Digikey. After deleting the rest and restarting it seems OK. Still slow for BOM generation at a minute+ for a small design but not the 10+ I was seeing.

    A warning message or something would be good addition to catch pilot error?
