Circuit Studio Crashing when editing a library

hlovett
hlovett over 6 years ago

Hi,

I've got an issue with my Circuit Studio crashing. I have a few libraries (schlib / pcblib, not intlib) that I use. All bar one work fine, and I can open, edit etc with no issues. However, one of my symbol libraries causes CS to completely lock up, with no errors reported. I have to force quit the program after this.

I can use the library to place parts with no issues, but I cannot add anything to it.

How can I debug what it causing this issue? Are there any extra tools I can use? I'd rather not have to rebuild my library from scratch.

Many thanks,

Henry

Have you tried to make a new library and then copy a few of the parts form the problem library into it? If you could do some of them then perhaps you could do them all.

Is it a schematic or PCB parts library?

Can you share the library or it is proprietary?  If you can share then maybe one of us or Peter can try and see if the same problem happens on another system.
