I have a schematic and PCB with established variants. When I clicked on Variants while in the schematic I received the error "Incorrect link(s) in project variant ..." that identified two capacitors that were "not properly linked" but I could find no link to fix.
I did notice the caps were fitted when they were marked not fitted in the variant manager.
I completed the component links but none of them were the capacitors in question.
I compiled the project and saved it. No help.
I went back into the variant manager and flipped the uncooperative parts to fitted then back to not fitted.
Recompiled, saved, all fixed.
My question is: What did I do to cause this original error?
Either way at least there is a possible repair method documented now.
