import circuit maker 200 into circuit studio

Google tells me it is possible to import Circuit Maker 2000, that is the old software circa 2000, not the current cloud based Circuit Maker, into Altium Designer.

Is there something similar for Circuit Studio?

The importer claims to be able to handle "CircuitMaker PCB Files (*.CMPcbDoc)", although I haven't tried it myself.

    Hello Frog,

Thanks for your reply.  Sadly, the *.cmppcbdoc files are almost certainly the modern Circuit Maker files, not the older Circuit Maker 2000 files.  Those files have extensions of *.ckt, *.net, *.drl, etc.  The PCB file that Traxmaker produces and uses seems not to have an extension.  All files seem to be plain text files that Word is quite happy to read.  Oh.  I just realized.  By "the importer" you mean the importer within Circuit Studio.  I've tried it.  I can confirm that it won't import CircuitMaker 2000 files, or Traxmaker files, only the modern CircuitMaker files.  I don't have any of those.  I think I tried a few years ago to import the old CircuitMaker 2000 files into the new CircuitMaker.  Despite the similarity of their names, that didn't work either.  I haven't tried recently.

    I live in hope.

    Keith
