Multi part select not working to place a multiple componets.

How do you select multiple components in shematic and place them on the PCB board.

Cross probe does not do that for some reason, It alway brings me back to the schematic.

When I select the PCB tab only one is highlighted and it will not let me move it.

I do not understand your question.  Could you specify what you are trying to do?

    Thanks, much appreciated.

I am trying to select multiple components on the schematic in a group and then have all these component cross probed to the PCB where all of them are selected . Then move them to another part of the board where I can arrange them for placement but the tool seem to not want to help me do that.

    Thanks

    Lee

I am not having any issues selecting multiple parts on the schematic and then switching to the PCB and having those parts selected.  I have Cross Select Mode enabled.

Under your 'Home' tab, select the drop-down menu 'Select' and enable Cross Select Mode.  If you want it to work in both directions (from SCH to PCB or from PCB to SCH) then you will need to enable it on both your Schematic and PCB.

If you are having difficulty moving multiple items at once, highlight the components and then press the 'M' key to move them.

In my opinion, this works better than Cross Probe.

Click-drag or Shift-Click to select a group of parts on schematic.

Right-click on one of the selected parts.

Choose 'Part Actions > Select PCB Components'

Go to PCB and the parts are all selected so you can grab and move them as a group.
