I have recently encountered a problem with CS's Altium Content Vault search. I think something has changed in the Vault's structure itself causing problems with proper parametric search of the content.
According to the documentation this is how the search result should look like, allowing me to narrow down the search using parameters available for this search result:
However in my case, this is the search result:
The list do not contain a list of parts for this search, but "folder" in which matching parts can be found, leaving the parameters panel empty. If I enter one of the folders I get a view where I can not narrow the parameters using the parameters side-panel. I can open the "Select columns" context menu and choose from the parameters to be shown in the column list - this works, however it have to be done every time I do a search and open a folder, which makes it very time consuming:
Moreover, I have tried to set up a search filter in the "Search" tab, this happens:
I have to choose at least one folder path to set-up the search, but no parameters to use is displayed, to set the filter from. There is a message of "retrieving parameters list", but nothing is found.
I am not 100% certain but I remember this working properly before, such as described in the documentation. Additionally looking at the folder structure, I have a sense that the organisation of the Altium Content Vault has changed?
Am I doing something wrong? Or something has changed recently? How do I fix that?
