What is the most efficient way to duplicate a .SchLib and .PcbLib within CS?

What is the most efficient way to duplicate a part in order to preserve properties when creating new parts or part variants within a library?  Save as behaves as Rename, there is no copy paste.

Is the proper way to just copy the files using Windows Explorer and then open the library file in CS and add the file to the .LibPkg? Seems like there should be a more streamlined way to do this.

    Yes, use Windows to make a copy just like any other file.  CS does not have a menu toolbar to save a copy as.

    However, if you want to do it from CS then go to the search bar and type in "save copy as".  The ability is there if you want to do it that way.
