Trouble accessing Altium Vault from CS

When I try to start the Vault from File/Vault Explorer, nothing happens.

 

This is a trial copy that I'm using: trying to see if there is enough in CS so that we don't have to spring for Designer.

 

Is the Vault disabled for trials?

    It should work fine (although it can be slow, depending on quantity of search return data).

     

    Go to <file> <system preferences> <data management> <vaults> and see if the altium vault has enabled checked and that the address is present.

     

    Vault can be quite handy, depending on your needs.  See my recent post regarding speed issues, however.

    In fact, I've come to the conclusion that it's a speed issue. It works pretty well if you are not asking for every resistor in the data repository. If it's just a few, they show up and you are good to go.

     

    I haven't yet figured out how to limit searches when I need something like an LED, or any other part with very large numbers of offerings.
