Yes, it's a trial, but it's supposedly exactly the same as the paid version.
I wonder what's the option you're talking about...

Have a look at EasyPC - much cheaper, not as many whizzy features but it works.
I've been using it for about 10 years now and still happy. (I have no connection with Number One Systems other than as a paying customer !)

Thanks, Shabaz, You were right...
... only thing left is that it's pretty much unusable now. I am not going to use a magnifying glass to read every and each pull down menu, that's for sure.
I never experienced this with Altium Designer, nor with any other program.
The more I use Circuit Studio, the more I feel it's a paying beta, a rather nice one, I admit, but a beta nonetheless.
Too bad, really.

Sorry, but no.
I've used Easy PC, but it's too ugly, and doesn't have half of the functionalities we need here.
On the other side Altium Designer (which we've been with for 15++ years) is now way too pricy and we don't use half of its functions.
Circuit Studio was looking like a good mid-range alternative, but it really needs polishing... a lot.

How about Pulsonix (EasyPC's big brother)
(I've not used it !)
Which features of Altium Designer is it that you need and which ones are no use to you - when I last looked I felt that the data base and FPGA stuff was not what I wanted in a PCB tool but I'm interested in other opinions because EasyPC is a bit stretched with some things I'm doing now.
