How I could change the width of a whole trace at once and not by segment?
Is there any shortcut for that purpose?
Thanks
I recently started using Altium again and forgot how to use CircuitStudio. I forgot how hard it is to do minor things like selecting traces. But there is a way. It takes a little longer than it should but you should be able to be very proficient if you continually use this feature.
To change the width of all traces of a single net on one or more layers:
1-Click the 'View' tab.
2-Select 'Filter'
3-Under 'Groups', select 'Nets'
4-Under 'Objects', select 'Track'
5-Under 'Layer', select the layer you want to change the track width.
6-Sort 'Net' in 'Highlighted Objects' so that they are in ascending or descending order
7-Hold 'Shift' or 'CTRL' and select the net that you wish to change
8-Using the Object Inspector, change the track width
As you can see, the filter can be performed for many, many more selections. It is quite useful in many situations while designing PCBs. I hope this helped. Keep up the good work.
If you are looking to change the trace width while routing, press 'Tab' while routing. You can change the default values in this pop-up window.
Also, if you are changing layers, use CTRL+SHIFT+mouse wheel. This will cycle through the layers. If you are routing at the time, it will place a via and go into the next layer.
