Update PCB with PCB Library Footprint Changes Not Working

After adjusting the pad sizes on an IC footprint in a PCB library, I then right click on the selected footprint and select Update PCB with the selected (footprint). However, this did not change the footprint on the PCB. What am I doing wrong?

    Does your schematic part reference your own local library or the Altium Vault?

     

    If you are pointing to the Vault as the footprint source, you cannot modify it.  It will revert to the Vault version.  (I'm 80% sure but cannot test right now)

     

    If you search discussion posts, I and others have posted several ways to bring a Vault part into your own library, where you can do as you please.
