Hi CircuitStudio keeps randomly crashing. Is there a way to fix this? I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling it but the problem still persists and it is really frustrating.
I don't know if this duplicates previously posted suggestions for the same problem.
Check the video driver for your computer and update it if a newer one is a available.
If you have the Vault open, close it immediately when the program starts. See if that helps with stability before going further.
If system is stable with Vault closed you can now try using the Vault ...
--- here are some basics that I've found to work well ---
Open the Vault and do nothing until the left pane is populated. Once populated, you can use it, but take it slow in the Vault.
If you want a very useable way to find commercial parts which are already in the Vault, read the following steps and do them QUICKLY !
1. in the left pane, find and click on GENERIC, then click on the search tab at the bottom
2. immediately click in the search box and type something fast like 1234, then click search
Sit back and wait until you get a NOT FOUND or other response. This may take a few minutes.
Once the Vault is in this state, you can now enter real part number or other portions of a field to search for. Try searching for SN74ACT04D
I never turn my CS computer off because the Vault can take a long time to recover. I don't know if this is a problem for all but for myself and others, it has been a problem without solution.
Incidentally, a few days ago a had to run remote desktop on the CS computer. I can run anything I need to including other 3D and electronic simulation. No problems ever except for CS. It would run for an hour or so then crash. No idea what causes it.
