When importing changes from the project to the pcb file, parts are very far from the origin with many parts at the same coordinates.

When importing parts from the project into the pcb, parts are very far from the board ( the board area is 50x100mm in the image)
Additionally about 20 resistors are all stacked on top of eachother at the same coordinates.

1) Any idea how to prevent this?

2) Any way to "pop" the components apart so they're not all stacked, or do I have to move them all individually?

  • I once had a similar problem. The problem in my project was that some parts had drawings/text stored in certain layers that were very far away from the part itself. I solved it by looking at the part in the library and displaying hidden (otherwise not displayed) layers. There were then e.g. at a component very detailed notes and dimensions/measurements in a layer indicated, which I do not use otherwise. I simply deleted the "superfluous" and everything looked good afterwards. So maybe you wanna check whats in all the layers in all your components. Hope this helps.

  • I have seen this too and it is most annoying. I hope Altium CS developers fix this; it is not something that the user should have to waste time working around.
