How can I add components to library?

Hello, 
 I am new to CircuitStudio and I am really struggling with the library. 
 I have the following two questions: 
 How can I view all the components in a .schlib? For example, how do I view all the parts in this BJTs.SchLib? 
 
 The reason I ask this is because in youtube tutorial they had this option come up in V1.4. But this does not come up in V1.5. 
 
 Another question I have is: how do I add another component to this library? 
 I have been struggling all day with this and cannot figure it out so I appreciate any help!

Hi, 
 yes, Altium didn't put a lot of effort into those videos. The Library button on the View tab toggles SCH Library panel. 
 
 As for adding a component start here and see how you go.

Good Day. Sorry to hear you are struggling on the learning curve. I hope alijaki answered how to view the parts in the library. To add a part, one method is to use an existing part, make a copy, rename it, modify it. For example you might do this to make a different capacitor from an existing one. To do this is not intuitive in my opinion. You need to select the part in the SCH Library navigation window with a left mouse click.

Once highlighted, right mouse click to get a popup menu. From there you can copy and paste into the SCH Library window. It will make a duplicate with the same name plus a _1 after the name. You can also delete parts from here. And you can paste into another library or copy and paste into your schematic. 
 Then you need to rename it to something you want. They also don't make this intuitive and you won't find a rename command. To rename, double click on the part to open its properties. Then you will find its name but it is called the Symbol Reference (under Library Link). You may need to expand the window size to see this or you can use the scroll bar for the Properties window section. You can select this text box and change the name. When you close this window with the OK button, you should see the component name change. 
 
 Then you can modify its properties, change its graphics and such. 
 
 To make an entirely new part you would use the Add button in the SCH Library panel. 
 
 You can find and use Altium Designer schematic and PCB library parts. I often find these on sites like Digikey. Then I copy from their library into my own and add in the properties and parameters that I want.

Ohhhh my gosh - thank you so much for pointing this out! This is exactly what I have been after. I would have never guessed it was there as it only appears when you double click on a .SchLib. You have saved me hours and hours of going insane!
