Recently I decided to try Circuitmaker so if satisfied i could buy circuistudio .
As i understand these are similar programs so testing circuitmaker would be the same as testing CircuitStudio
I made a very small project pcb with 2 ics.
I found the whole process quite easy and everything was fine until I decided to check
autorouter . On first pass I selected 2 layer main and autorouter finished pcb with 0
contentions and violations.
I wanted to optimize routes so I decided to use cleanup strategy which ,as I checked , straightens tracks
. After executing command a vias has disappeared but the lines the via was connecting remained
in their place .
After that I decided to rerun 2 layer main and the result was a total mess with lines shorting and in other tracks
creating antennas . It was a total mess after a few runs. The messages were equally confusing indicating that
everything is ok .
Can anybody understand what is happening ?. I can't figure it out the basic principles and from manuals I could not
find anything .Are there any guidelines to make effective use of the Autorouter?.
If programs behave differently sorry for the question .
