Copy a manuf. footprint from vault to create a new part using that footprint

Here is the process I would like to happen and I would like to know if anyone (Altium representatives included) knows of an easy way to accomplish it using Circuit Studio.

Often, I want to use a part from a major manufacturer (let's say TI for this example) but the part is not in the Altium content vault.  So I have conceded at this point that I will create the part in my own custom integrated library.  Also often times, the part I want to create uses a footprint that is standard for that manufacturer.  So, TI has parts in the vault that use the TSSOP-24 package.  So, there is a "PCB Component" in the "Models" folder for TI in the vault.  I would like to use that footprint in the new part I create.  But I cannot seem to just drag the component into a footprint design like you can with a normal part in the vault.  Again, I'm just looking to copy the footprint and I'm fine with having to create my own layout.  The only way I can see to do it is you have to dig through the manufacturer's parts in the vault until you find an integrated part that uses the footprint you want.  Then drag that into your design and then open the board to copy the footprint and then put it into your new part footprint.  This is time consuming when the manufacturer has hundreds/thousands of parts.

Does anyone know of a better way to grab the manufacturer specific common footprints in order to use in your own custom part for ones that can't be found in the vault?
