I just experienced a problem with getting into the Layer Stack Manager window. I typically use multiple monitors and frequently switch between just the laptop and one or two external monitors. So far CS has worked well with this. However, today I went to open the Layer Stack Manager and nothing. The main CS window lost focus (i.e. title bar loses its color highlight) but no Layer Stack Manager window appeared. However, I could press the ESC key and get focus back to the main window. If I pressed the ALT-TAB key combo I could see the Layer Stack Manager running as a task.
I was able to fix this by disconnecting my laptop computer from its dock port getting back to a single screen. Then Layer Stack Manager opened on the only screen. After this I was able to redock to the external monitors and for now Layer Stack Manager seems to work OK again.
This looks like a bug in the software or possibly in how it gets its prior screen location from memory.
I remember that Altium Designer had similar problems back about 2009 (AD6 I think) but much worse.
Hopefully, this post helps others if they run into the same thing and maybe this can be logged as a known issue for future improvement.
