Why can't symbols be copied between library parts

CS refuses to copy and paste the symbol design from one schematic symbol to another. Another appaling fail of this half hatched software ? It's a universale need to use symbols again.

Yes this is pretty much the case. So your saying that I need to click on each item instead of just drag selecting the lot ? If altium think I'm spending £5K on AD any day they have another thing coming

I hear you Simon. I won't spend the money for Altium Designer, out of principal alone, until this CircuitStudio mess is fixed. I invest thousands in design software on a yearly basis and the way that Altium…

I don't know what Altium thinks it's relationship with customers is. they seem to take CS as Farnell's baby, there is one person on here from altium and one from farnell, virtually no documentation and…

OK fair enough. Having the update is neither here nor there anyway. I believe the list of documented bugs is quit long now not to mention the lack of explanation about the detail of how stuff works yet in a year all I see is some copy and pasting in order to make up some features that are not so features.

I don't quite see the every day use of the filter in schematics, PCB yes and they were already there. I'm sure the same body of code was used for this "new" feature that required some tinkering. Considering how the price goes up and down like a jack in a box and that CS is simple a marketing tool how much is the software actually worth to Altium and how much to Farnell? Just maybe someone at Farnell is regretting selling off eagle now meanwhile eagle users would do well to never trust Farnell again after the shafting they got.......
