Pin Properties

Hi,

 

When preparing to drop a pin and hitting tab to modify the properties of the pin, the focus in the preview seems to be broken so that you can not see the display name. After placing the pin and then double clicking it to enter back into pin properties, the problem no longer exists. Does anyone else have this issue?

I was adding a symbol to a schematic library when I noticed this.

  • Hi Carl. I've tried to reproduce but cannot, hitting TAB whilst the pin is on the cursor gives the dialog and the Display Name field is focused and editable. Can you provide a screenshot showing the issue or let me know if I have misunderstood.

    Hi Peter,

     

    So Pressing P then TAB opens the dialog box and while typing in the name, the focus is not changed in the preview to show the display name that I am typing.

    Now after I have placed the pin, go back and double click on it. I am able to modify the display name and have it update in the preview properly to show the entire thing.

    Obviously this is not a workflow breaking bug. I just am not sure where to document and submit bugs.

    Got it, I thought you were not able to focus on the input box but I see it's just the preview that doesn't update as you type. I will submit this to Altium.
