Suddenly cannot print anything except the BOM

jmarkwolf

I've been working on a design for a week, and everything has been going well. But now, suddenly, when I tried to print another set of SchDoc and PcbDoc PDF's for the client review, it defaults to printing the BOM and never prints the other files. I've tried altering all the output configuration options I can find and nothing changes.

I've tried "unchecking" everything except the SchDoc's from the Home/Project/Generate Outputs, but it seems to have no effect. Still prints the BOM.

I'm unable to uncheck anything in the Project/Project Options/Default Prints. Once it's checked in that particular dialog, it stays checked.

I tried closing all unecessary files in the project panel, and rebooting the computer, and nothing changes. It will print nothing but the BOM.

Help, I'm stuck on this one.

Find your *.outjob file and rename it.  Don't delete it because it contains all of your settings.  You can view them by opening it in a text editor like Notepad++.  Now you have a clean slate.  When you create your output files, it will create a new *.outjob file from scratch.  If that doesn't solve it, you have more issues than I can resolve.

Thanks for your quick response James.

I was able to get it going with some more pharting around. Don't know why, but it seems to have something to do with the fact that I can't "uncheck" any selections in the "Project/Project Options/Default Prints" dialog.

Hi Mark, do you happen to have a saved copy of the OutJob file that was causing the issue? If so would you email through to me because Altium would like to take a look to try and understand the problem in more depth.

    Hi Peter

I attempted to attach the outjobs file that was in place when I experienced the difficulty but I keep getting a message stating "The content type of this attachment is not allowed", even though it is not among the file types indicated as not allowed.

Shall I copy the text of the entire outjob here?

    Please advise.

    Regards,

    Mark

Mark, Peter wanted you to email him the file. If you click on his username, on the Personal tab there is a "View more details" button. There you will find his email address.

But if you want to attach here the file, you can always delete the file extension, or replaced it with .TXT or whatever file format is supported and then mentioned it in the thread.

    Thanks Marius.

I emailed it directly to Peter.

Perhaps something will be learned from it.

Many thanks for the file, I've passed on to Altium to see if they can spot anything wrong.
