Can't place symbol template in schematic library editor

How does one go about using the template schematic symbols in that dropdown?

Not sure what's going on, as soon as you click the template it should be placed at the origin. Try hitting Ctrl-PgDn to zoom everything into view and see if the symbol is appearing elsewhere and perhaps try creating a new component and adding a template as the first thing.

I'm having exactly the same issue, I select a symbol template and nothing happens? I've tried Ctrl-PgDn and restarting the PC but still nothing happens when I pick a templace.

FYI I'm on CS version 1.5.2 (Build 30) on Windows 10 Pro version 1909.

For what it is worth, it does seem to be working as expected for me when I tested today.
