duplicate nets error

Sparkylabs
Sparkylabs over 7 years ago

OK Firstly I'm not sure what "compile project" is but I did it before wanting to go to PCB, so now I have an error as two completely separate nets "have the same name". So what can I do about it? yes these are identical wires in two circuit sections made with copy/paste but then it is just two nets not all of the others and i see no way to edit the net name........

The schematic compile checks for errors, sort out hierarchy, net names, designators, logical/physical view of sheets and probably other things as well. Just a little background for those new to CS who may not know - in general net names are local to a sheet, it is quite possible to have the same net on different sheets and they are in no way connected. Ports are the usual way of wiring up between sheets and then there are global nets such as power.

For your design can you post pictures of the actual error message and sections of the circuit to which it related. If looking complicated then feel free to send me a copy of the design to take a look at.
