When using "Generate Outputs > BOM" there are fields available for "Supplier 1" and "Supplier Part Number 1".
I am finding (just me?) that "Supplier Part Number 1" field will only display purely numeric part numbers.
The workaround is to use "Supplier Part Number 2" field which happily displays all types of part numbers.
Can someone confirm this bug?

but the "Part Number 1" field is emtpy in the BOM configurator:
