Missing footprint wizard icon in PCB library editor

We have had reports that the ribbon bar footprint wizard icon can sometimes be absent in the PCB library editor.

The wizard is always accessible by a right click in the PCB Library panel (View | Library).

Another workaround is to invoke the wizard from the search box (top right of workspace), type in "wizard" and select "Tools > Component Wizard..." from the results.

This launches the footprint wizard and also restores the icon to the toolbar once the wizard is closed.

  • Of course, the image above also shows the rather crude way AD has been reduced to CS. The  IPC Compliant Wizard that shows up in the search is missing in CS. However, if Altium wanted to add a footprint wizard, licensing the PCB Libraries one would be an even better option!

     

    The wizard still seems to be sometimes missing from the toolbar in 1.5.1, incidentally.
