ePower Connector Series for High Amperage, Multi-Phase Motor Applications

Amphenol Industrial, a global leader in interconnect systems, now offers a connector series designed to eliminate bulky and space consuming cable glands on motors, DC inverters and converters and other high amperage equipment. Amphenol's ePower family of connectors will provide electrical interconnects that meet the demanding needs of modern "electrification" programs in high voltage and high amperage applications.

Unique packaging considerations are offered that will ease assembly of the three-phase motors and similar equipment. Traditional assemblies ran three high current heavy gage wires through cable glands into the unit, resulting in large and bulky enclosures that were difficult to service. The ePower series will provide an interconnect incorporating Amphenol's proven RADSOKRegistered technology that will achieve higher current ratings and lower T-Rise and contact resistance.

The ePower series will provide two and three pin power connectors in 100 amps through 500 amps per contact and have the capacity for two small gage signal contacts for HVIL (High Voltage Inter Lock) purposes. The receptacle will be available with IP2X style sockets that are crimped to wire or can be terminated to an internal bus bar. The cable plugs have IP2X style crimp pins and can accommodate shielded wires.
