In July 2012, Honeywell announced a new SPI communications protocol for the Honeywell HumidIcon
Digital Humidity/Temperature Sensors, HIH6130/6131 Series. When this Series was originally launched August 2011, it provided an I2C communications protocol. The addition of SPI communications increases flexibility of use by allowing customers to use the HIH6130/6131 Series for those applications that require an SPI communications protocol for Industrial and Medical applications.
