    Hi Mike

I am using the AR1010 resistive touch screen controller. I have constructed the circuit and in order to test if my circuit is working I have sent some commands to the controller via serial comms. However, if i send the following command " 55 01 12", which is to enable touch, I get the following response from the controller: "55 BF 5F 31 00". The response i was expecting was "55 02 response 12", this was given in the datasheet. in fact any command i send, the response is different to what the datasheet says it should be. Also if i send the disable touch command then the serial still receives data when the screen is touched. Please all the help will be appreciated. Could it be that the parity settings and stop bit settings are not correct as this information is not in the datasheet, only baud rate is given.

    Regards, Kippie
