    I am a software engineer who is trying to use a Microchip Ethernet Starter Kit as the basis for a UDP controlled remote test set application My   and I/O expansion board are on order and I have downloaded the MPLAB tools and the TCP/IP stack and examples Since my application is looking to only do very simple UDP type transactions the bulk of the examples are very complicated compared to my intended use Do you know of any relatively simple example code sets for the  DM320004DM320004 that are doing just some UDP based data transactions over a local area network

    Hi Mikey,

     

    You're right, most of the projects in the Microchip Application Libraries are like full  blown applications using upper level TCP/IP APIs.

     

    If you only need to use lower level ones, I believe there is an exemple how to perform TCP & UDP tests to measure TCP/IP performance.

     

    This exemple is documented in the TCP/IP API documentation  (after installing the libraries) which you'll find here :

    c:\Microchip Solutions v2010-10-19\Microchip\Help\TCPIP Stack Help.chm               and search for Stack performance.

     

    There is an excellent forum dedicated to Microchip TCP/IP solutions where the community is very active and helpful.
