    Hi,

    I am a new user of the Wifi G demo board (MRF24WG0MA) with the official source code example. Everything is going well in the softAP network type. However, when I tried to change it to Adhoc mode, it was not working i.e I can't even detect the Adhoc network on my list of networks on my laptop.

    This is the only change I have made in the source code:

    #define MY_DEFAULT_NETWORK_TYPE             CFG_WF_ADHOC

    Is this enough to make the example work on the Adhoc mode? Could you please help me to know what is going wrong exactly?

    Thank you.

    Best Regards,

    Marouane

    Hi,

    I think you need to change more options than just the line you mentioned.

    You may want to check the TCP/IP stack documentation in the libraries. Maybe some guidance is given which parameters to change.

    The demokit documentation is here.

    You can also to post a ticket to Microchip support or to the TCP/IP dedicated forum

    Originally the AdHoc only was supported in the WiFi module firmware. Later, SoftAP support was added.

    Is there any specific reason why you want AdHoc ?

    SoftAP is much more "firendly" as it basically allows connections with all types of devices (any maker of smartphone, laptops, tablets,...)

    NB : Android does not support AdHoc...

    Regards
