Bonjour,

Cordialement,

Eric

    Hi Eric,

Please clarify what is meant by "soft settings,"  its not a common term with MPLAB tools. In general, there are no special requirement for programming PIC16F7x or PIC16F88x targets with MPLAB ICD3. However,  PIC16F7x devices do not offer  debug mode support, but debug is available on the PIC16F88x devices.

I have translated the above response with the help of google translator:

    Thanks

    Derrick

Eric , Derrick is correct in stating that the ICD3 will happily program the parts you are using , he is also correct about which parts the ICD3 can perform debug. I think you are asking if there is a way to cut through all the setting up at actual programming stage . I must apologise - I am not an expert on the actual useage of this kit but I'm pretty sure that most of these program settings may be configured within the code you are writing .

They can of course be set manually . Our Engineering teams are all currently at our US Design Conference in the USA this week , please feel free to contact them at support.microchip.com  for further assistance - Regards , Mike
