Milli-grid Crimp Housing

Is there any way to use the Milli-grid crimp terminal housings without buying the very expensive crimp tool? I need to make up two connectors to replace a damaged harness.

Hello Ciaran, Unfortunately Molex does not recommend using any other method besides the approved hand tools and applicators that are designed to be used with that specific terminal. I’m assuming that the hand tool you need is part number 638190100. You can check distributor stock at our website at: http://www.molex.com/molex/products/datasheet.jsp?part=active/0638190100_APPLICATION_TOOLIN.xml&channel=Products&Lang=en-US .You may be able to shop around for a better price.
