The EXTreme LPHPowerTm Connector is a mixed, high-current power and signal connector system that picks up where traditional connectors leave off. Designed with power blades parallel to the PC board, its extremely low-profile height of only 7.50mm (.295") allows greater system airflow while taking up 53% less space than traditional connectors with the same current rating.

Designed as a new generation of power interconnect, Molex's EXTreme LPHPowerTmconnector provides up to 127.0A per linear inch of space, has two isolated power blades in each housing bay and can be mated in a right-angle, co-planar or vertical orientation. EXTreme LPHPowerTm can be mated in a traditional two-piece connector system, or as a one-piece receptacle-to-cardedge / bus-bar application.

EXTreme MicroPowerTm

Low-profile, high-current EXTreme MicroPower header provides versatile solutions in a compact design

image
Designed for high-current density applications, Molex's EXTreme MicroPower header is soldered directly to PCBs such as a Voltage Regulator Module (VRM) or a mother-board using a slotted via. With a current rating of 16.0A per blade at 30° T-rise, Micro-Max Power may be used in any board-to-board application where power transfer is needed through a non-separable interface in a compact design.

EXTreme MicroPower headers are available in circuit sizes ranging from 4-to-24 blades in a single-row configuration. Optional voided circuits are available to allow for use in high-voltage applications.

EXTreme ZPowerTm

EXTreme ZPower is a high-current, rigid, board-to-board and wire-to-board mezzanine style interconnect designed to transfer power loads from one PCB to another.

image
EXTreme ZPower connectors utilize a unique, dual interface which results in long-term reliability. The EXTreme ZPower connector allows 50.0A to be carried between parallel boards in 0.232 in², with less than .020 milliohms initial plane-to-plane resistance.

The EXTreme ZPower connector is press-fit into the PC base board.  The PC top board is then screwed down on top of the EXTreme ZPower connector, forming a high-pressure interface. A unique, dual Hertzian contact design allows the screw to be installed without affecting the compliant-pin interface in the opposing PCB.

The rigid nature of this interconnect allows high-density PCB applications to benefit from real-estate savings, by employing
EXTreme ZPower in a dual role. EXTreme ZPower performs as both a high-reliability power connector and a durable stand-off, relieving the need for separate mechanical stand-offs in some applications.

EXTreme ZPower can also be used as an efficient, wire-to-board connector. This application is achieved through using standard wire-crimp, ring-lug terminals as the mating interface to the EXTreme ZPower screw-down terminal interface.
