Overview and Features

MCX N53, N52 & N24 Overview

The MCX N53, N52 and N24 include up to two high-performance Arm® Cortex®-M33 cores running up to 150 MHz, with 2MB of Flash with optional full ECC RAM, a DSP co-processor and an integrated eIQ Neutron NPU. The NPU delivers up to 42x faster machine learning (ML) throughput compared to a CPU core alone enabling it to spend less time awake and reducing overall power consumption.

The multicore design delivers improved system performance and reduced power consumption by enabling smart, efficient distribution of workloads to the analog and digital peripherals. The devices are supported by the widely adopted MCUXpresso suite of software and tools to optimize, ease and help accelerate embedded system development.

 

    • Flash Swap and Read While Write supported
  • Cache Engine with 16 KB RAM
  • Up to 512 KB RAM, configurable as up to 416 KB with ECC (support single bit correction two bits detection)
    • Up to 4x 8 KB ECC RAM can be retained down to VBAT mode
  • FlexSPI with 16 KB cache supporting XIP, Octal/Quad SPI flash, HyperFlash, HyperRAM, Xccela memory types

    The integrated eIQ Neutron NPU opens up some great application ML possibilities.

    I spotted that some include a "Power Line Communications (PLC) Controller". I'm interested to learn more. What type (narrowband/broadband) / protocol can be used with this?
