How to start with Functional Safety and Security in ASIL/SIL embedded applications? /WEBINAR

Functional Safety and Security are increasingly required in traditional and emerging embedded automotive and industrial applications. Developers must comply with specific hardware, software, and documentation requirements to guarantee both safe and secure system performance under all operating conditions. NXP’s automotive MCUs/MPUs are supported by the SafeAssureRegistered program to address these requirements, simplifying the process of system compliance when developing for functional safety standards.

This Getting started with Functional Safety and Security in Automotive (ASIL) and Industrial (SIL) embedded applications webinar will show the relevance of the embedded developer’s role in the Functional Safety process for Automotive Safety Integrity Level (ASIL) and Safety Integrity Level (SIL) development.

REGISTER TODAY in one of the two available sessions:

  • Tuesday, SEPTEMBER 10 @ 8:00 am PDT
  • Thursday, SEPTEMBER 12 @ 10 am CEST

During this 45 minute-session, Danny Basler (NXP’s automotive Technical Marketing Engineer) will provide an outline of the developer’s role in the Functional Safety process: defining safety goals, hazard and risk assessment, and FMEDA completion; together with an overview of the standards for Automotive and Industrial Safety and how NXP’s SafeAssure products address them. Danny will also demonstrate the relevant NXP's microcontrollers and processors, including dedicated hardware security co-processors with supporting software drivers to enable secure and efficient data transfer in automotive/industrial networks.
