Residential Solar Power Inverters

PBrunner
PBrunner over 15 years ago

Residential scale grid-tie systems are the most common types of system today. They typically provide 3 to 10 kilowatts of output power and are not normally accompanied by a battery backup. Output AC power must be synchronized in phase, frequency, and voltage to the grid and have a low total harmonic distortion. String inverters, which control one or more strings of individual PV modules, are the most common types of inverters used for residential applications. The 56F83xx series of DSCs provide single chip control solutions for both MPPT and DC/AC conversion

Implement Efficient Solar Inverters Using Freescale Microcontrollers and Digital Signal Controllers
The efficient transformation of solar energy into electricity for home usage requires smart battery management and DC/AC voltage conversion, requiring electronic circuits to be precise, robust and interconnected.
Join us on this session to understand how low-power high-performance Freescale MCUs and DSCs can manage trivial tasks in solar inverter systems improving efficiency, reducing noise, and allowing system supervision among many other things

Energy Regeneration
When we talk about energy conservation, what are some of the things that come to mind? Maybe the responsible use of energy? A more efficient load or energy delivery systems? But what about reusing energy that has already delivered to a load and stored as kinetic energy. Some examples of these might include a rotating inertial load connected to a motor shaft or passenger vehicle decelerating. All of these systems, posses valuable energy which, until recently has simply being discarded in many cases.
With the current costs of energy, it is necessary to use and reuse energy as wisely as possible. In this presentation we will review and explore various topologies and control techniques to recapture load energy, in such a way that it can be used by another system, or stored for later use

Solar Power 101
This session will introduce how solar power works, its benefits and drawbacks. Learn what technologies are available today, their economics and how recent advancements can enable your next-generation product. Applications for the consumer market will be covered, including a demonstration of a battery charging system
