Product Overview

Save your time and money in your new product's development phase, so as in the production phase. That all is possible with the new SQM4-K70 computer module, based on the Freescale ARM Cortex-M4 microcontroller - Kinetis K70! How? With this module you don't need to design any complicated motherboard anymore, just 2 layers are enough. Why? Because it's easily solderable, so all expensive module sockets are now the past! And as a side effect there is another benefit – because of the fix connection to the motherboard your product is totally resistant to vibrations and other ambient influence. Is the module then suitable also for industry? Definitely...

The module contains:

CPU:         MK70FN1M0 120 / 150 MHz

Memory:   1 MB FLASH on chip

               128 kB SRAM on chip

               64 MB x 16 DDR2 on module

               1280 MB x 16 NAND FLASH on module on just 16 cm2.

The module operates within the temperature range of -40 and 85°C and it consumes just as little as 500 mW. Using its 160 pin  connector it provides an interface for:

- 18 Bit processor bus

- LCD 24bit

- Touch screen

- I2S audio digital

- I2C interconnect

- CAN

- USB OTG/HOST/DEVICE

- SPI

- UART / IR

- SDCard

- Ethernet 10/100 Mbit

- Tamper detect

- A/D high speed 12 bit

- A/D 14 bit

- D/A 12 bit

- Compare

- Up to 120 GPIO

Electrical characteristics:

Supply Voltage:    3.3 V to 5.5 V DC

Supply Current:    120 mA

Frequency:          120 MHz

Output Voltage:    3.3 V

Output Current:    0 to 900 mA

The module is packaged with:

- Freescale MQX RTOS demos, so as bareboard examples,

- Datasheet.

Easyboard: Quick Start Development Board for SQM4-K70

Easyboard – that is the right way to start with the SQM4-K70 microcontroller module. This two-layer board expands most of the module's peripherals and provides a user interaction using the TFT 4.3" LCD display with the resistive touch. It's delivered with a wide range of demo applications, mostly based on Freescale MQX RTOS.
