Growing demand for vehicle electrification has been heightened by carbon emissions concerns, regulatory compliance, and energy costs. Increasing environmental awareness among consumers has also helped to bolster the market and create new opportunities for carmakers.

 

At NXP, we are leveraging our broad portfolio and application leadership in automotive power control to help accelerate Electronic Vehicles (EV) system development, offering system solutions that deliver the optimal performance, robust functional safety, and power management required for the next-generation of EV and electric/hybrid vehicles (HEV).

 

The MPC777C-DEVB development platform is a low-cost vehicle electrification system solution, including a complete NXP system solution with the highly integrated SPC5777C MCU as well as the advanced MC33FS6520LAE SBC and the TJA1100 and TJA1145T/FD Ethernet and CAN FD PHYs. These products offer the system performance, safety, and security needed for a range of applications from traction motors and Battery Management Systems (BMS) to internal combustion engines and transmissions.

 

During the Designing a Low-Cost High-Performance eTPU Functional Safety Dual Motor Control Solution webinar Andrew Ruf (Systems & Applications Engineer – Automotive Microcontrollers and Processors, NXP) and Brad Loane (Senior Product Manager – Vehicle Dynamics and Security, NXP) will give you an overview of the NXP devices that make up the MPC5777C-DEVB platform and will provide a technical deep dive illustrating how the platform can be used to design a functionally safe, low-cost dual motor control system.
