Nice quiz. It took a bit of guessing to get the 100%.

Good catch, the datasheet shows a range, 8 to 16 amps

One thing sounds strange. The quiz is not persistent when returning to the page. Is it Ok? About the quiz I have a special feeling and a long life story with relays. These were the first components I played…

    Just to add for interest...

The E 'High-capacity' classification is rated for 16amps

The E2 'High-capacity' classification is rated for 23amps

However Omron appear to separate them out into two different product families, the G2RL and the G2RL-E2:

    G2RL family specs (8A - 16A):

    G2RL-E2 family specs (23A):

I believe the "high capacity" version is rated for 16amps.

This was very hard for something I have been using all my life! fist time I only had about 60%  then the relay specific stuff I just looked at the datasheet! And I never had heard of the Coherer Effect. This only problem I have with the quiz is question #

    23) What is the rated carry current of a high-capacity G2RL PCB Power Relay?

    8 amps

    10 amps

    12 amps

    16 amps

    24 amps

    your answer is 16 amps

but the relay is only rated for 8 amps!

    Cris H.

Based on my first attempt at the exam, I clearly needed this refresher and update.

    Thank you!

This is an interesting quiz. I didn't know before that we need to note these much of things while using Relays in our circuits!

This was the hardest quiz so far. Maybe because so much mechanics is involved with relays.
