Advantages of Buck-Boost DC/DC Converters

Buck-boost operations achieve a stable output even as the voltage of the battery decreases.

 

Features of the BD83070GWL Buck-Boost DC/DC

(Feature 1: Ultra-low power consumption)

With its analog element layout, 0.13 µm power process BiCDMOS, etc., optimized for analog circuitry and power management ICs, the buck-boost power management IC achieves a top-class power consumption of 2.8 µA by utilizing ROHM's analog technology for low power consumption currents.

(Feature 2: High efficiency)

Equipped with our proprietary X Ramp PWM control, which enables seamless buck-boost conversion, this product has a 97% power conversion rate at the load current of a smartphone or tablet PC (200 mA). Even with other loads (between 100 μA and 1 A) it achieves ultra-efficient power conversion of 90% or more.
