Hey there!

I have been using BP35C5-T01 evaluation board along with BP359C evaluation board, for serial communication. The BP35C5-T01 evaluation board has two SMA connectors, to connect the antenna's. let me know if i can establish communication between modules without connecting antenna's. Also let me konw if i can establish communication between modules by connecting only one antenna.

Thanks...

    Hi Revanth,

Thank you for contacting ROHM Semiconductor on the Element14 community site, it's nice to hear from you.

    Please find our response below.

When using the BP35C5-T01 evaluation board, please connect at least one antenna.  The antenna on the right side (ANT1) is enabled at first.

The left side antenna (ANT2) is used when antenna diversity function is required.  Please also refer to the application notes for the BP35C5.  This can be found on the ROHM website or via the link below

Hi Revanth,   Thank you for contacting ROHM.

For BP35C5’s communication distance, please refer to the evaluation results described in “15. Communication distance” in the application manual.  Attached in the pdf

Also note that the communicable distance and the connectable distance are different. (See “21. Distance of connectable and communicable” for details)

    Kindest regards
